Business Development Specialist

Location: Office-based (Northampton)

Standard Work Hours: 08:00am-5:00pm

Salary: £25,000-£30,000 DOE + Bonus Scheme, Car Allowance and Fuel Card, Pension, Health Care


The Role:

As Business Development Specialist, you will be pivotal in fueling business growth, expanding our client base, making meaningful relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies aligned with the business goals.


This role offers creativity, autonomy, and exciting challenges for those who thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.


This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual, ideally with a track record in sales and business development, with a background in the electrical/construction/commercial/industrial/production industry.

InpulZe Group provides specialist electrical contracting services for the industrial, commercial, and domestic sectors. Specialising in large-scale projects and project management, our USP is utilizing modern technology to ensure hassle-free, seamless projects from start to finish.

We are seeking a commercially-savvy individual with exceptional communication, negotiation, and lead development skills. You should be driven by winning new business, implementing innovative marketing strategies, and bringing a passionate, creative approach to building the business. Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing and advertising strategies aligned with the business goals, while measuring and tracking their effectiveness

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with key decision-makers within desired industries

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships

  • Understand client needs and requirements and collaborate with our team to develop compelling tender proposals and solutions

  • Lead negotiations and pitch to prospective clients to demonstrate InpulZe Groups services and cross- sell services where possible

  • Manage and prioritize a pipeline of opportunities and provide regular updates to the Senior

  • Management Team



Person Specification:

  • Excellent, straight-talking communicator

  • Passionate about building and maintaining client relationships

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or related field

  • Self-motivated, hungry to succeed and ambitious outlook

  • Experience and knowledge in the electrical/construction/commercial/industrial/production industry

  • Willingness to travel (within the UK), attend trade shows and external networking events

  • Possess the characteristics of our company values – Grit, Ambition, Passion and No Excuses
